Today is 13th Dec 2016, and Malaysia is about to get the new Agong, or the King of Malaysia.

The Agongs are selected fron the 9 Malay Sultan following a set sequence of rotation.

AGONG AWARDS 2016

In conjunction with the birthday of the King of Malaysia, Yang Di Pertuan Agong, Tuanku Abdul Halim Mu'adzam Shah a number of awards and honours were bestowed to 1546 recipients of Federal Orders.



Leading the list was the new Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohamed Apandi Ali who was given the  Darjah Panglima Mangku Negara (PMN) which carries the title Tan Sri.


Here are the list. My apology for any errors and omissions.

B.  Darjah Kebesaran Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM) which also carries the title Tan Sri.
A list of 52 recipients include the following:

Widad Business Group's group executive chairman Datuk Seri Muhammad Ikmal Opat Abdullah, Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences Pro Chancellor Datuk R.Palaniappan, Chief of Navy Admiral Datuk Seri Ahmad Kamarulzaman Ahmad Badaruddin, deputy Inspector-General of Police Datuk Seri Noor Rashid Ibrahim and former Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Senator Datuk Seri Abdul Wahid Omar.

Tan Seri was awarded to UMNO Wanita chief/Women's Economic Advisor Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil, Selangor State Federal Action Council adviser Datuk Seri Noh Omar, Kampar Jaya MIC division chairman Datuk S.Veerasingam, Parti Bersatu India Malaysia president Datuk Seri S.Nallakaruppan, Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu Wanita chief Datuk Seri Empiang anak Antak.

Receiving PSM were Parti Progresif Penduduk Malaysia financial advisor Datuk M.N Puvanendran, Federation of Malaysian Manfacturers president Datuk Seri Saw Choo Boon and former Plantation Industries and Commodities deputy minister, Datuk Noriah Kasnon (Posthumously) who died in a helicopter crash in Sebuyau, Sarawak on May 5.

B Panglima Jasa Negara (PJN) which carries the title 'Datuk'
It was given to 79 recipients, including the late Kuala Kangsar Member of Parliament Datuk Wan Mohammad Khair-il Anuar Wan Ahmad (posthumous) and Secretary-General of the Ministry of the Plantation Industries and Commodities (Posthumous) who were killed in the helicopter accident in Sarawak on May 5.

The PJN was also awarded to the former Deputy Public Prosecutor in the Attorney-General's Chambers, the late Datuk Anthony Kevin Morais (Posthumous) who was murdered in September 2015. Also awarded the PJN were three Appeals Court Judges, namely Datuk Kamardin Hashim, Harminder Singh Dhaliwal and Ong Lam Kiat, as well as Legal Advisor in the Prime Minister's Department Datin Almalena Sharmila Johan Thambu, Director of Communications in the Finance Ministry Mohamad Ezam Mohd Nor, eye specialist and renowned speaker Prof Dr Che Muhaya Mohamad, Deputy President of the Association of Malaysian Armed Forces veterans (ATM) Kapten Sharuddin Omar, former president of Dong Zong Quek Chee Hiang @ Quek Suan Hiang and MIC secretary-general A. Sakthivel.

C. The Panglima Setia Diraja (PSD) award which carries the title 'Datuk'
It was awarded to the Secretary of the Managment Services Division in the Prime Minister's Department Halimah Hashim, Assistant Chief of Staff of ATM Headquarters for Personnel Services Major General Mohd Yadi and aide-de-camp of the Sultan of Kedah Kolonel Datuk Tunku Aziz Bendahara Tunku Nong.

D. The Darjah Kebesaran Johan Mangku Negara (JMN)  was awarded to 37 recipients.
- The recipients were the Deputy Head I of the Legal Division in the Attorney-General's Chambers Alice Loke Yee Ching and dental expert Dr Rashidah Burhanudin. Head of Department and Consultant Otorhinolaryngology at the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital Dr K.A. Valuyeetham, Director-General of the Handicraft Development Corporation Zuraida Mokhtar, former Deputy President of the Malaysian Construction Wholesalers Association Aziz Bahaman, Melaka State Police Chief DCP Datuk Ramli Din and Penang Deputy Police Chief DCP Datuk A.Thaiveegan.

Perak Award 2016

In conjunction with the 60th birthday of the Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin,  333 persons were given various awards and honors

Lists of The Honours are given below:

A. Darjah Kebesaran Seri Peduka Nazrin Shah (SPSN) with title Datuk Seri Diraja
- Tun Hanif Omar - He is the sole recipient of the honour
The award was conferred to him and 33 othe recipients at an investiture at Balairong Seri in Bukit Chandan.

B. Darjah Seri Paduka Mahkota Perak (SPMP), which carries the title “Datuk Seri.”
The recipients are:
1. Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Seri Mah Siew Keong.

2. Senator Datuk Zainal Abd Adzam Ghani and Perak Council on Islamic Religion

Sarawak Award 2016

In conjunction with the birth day of the Yang Dipertua Negari Sarawak,
115 worthy recipients of various awards were set to receive their honors and titles from Yang diPertua Negeri Tun Abdul Taib Mahmud.
The conferment was lead by the Zahid Hamidi with the title Datuk Patinggi.

Pahang Honour List 2013

In conjunction with the birthday of Sultan of Pahang,  180 were expected to receive various awards and medals from Sultan.

Leading the list was the Domestic Trade, Cooperatives and Consumerism Minister Datuk Hasan Malek who had received his awards and medals yesterday. The ceremony was performed by the Tengku Mahkota of Pahang, Tengku Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah.

A. SSAP - the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah (SSAP) award which carries the title "Datuk Seri".
Thirteen (13) individuals were awarded including who received the Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah (SSAP) award which carries the title "Datuk Seri". The recipients include Datuk Hasan Malek. The other recipients of the award were Federal Court Judge Datin Paduka Zaleha Zahari, Bukit Aman Police Headquarters Commercial Crime Investigation Department director Datuk Syed Ismail Syed Azizan, Federal Territories Ministry secretary-general Datuk Adnan Md Ikhsan, Immigration Department director-general Datuk Alias Ahmad, Yayasan Felda managing director and chief executive Datuk Dr Emel Faizal Mohd Mokhtar, Kumpulan Globaltec Formation Bhd executive chairman Datuk Dr Goh Tian Chuan.

The other include Datuk Ayubkhan Gulamkhan, Oriental Group of Restaurants chairman Datuk Siew Mun Chuang; Bermaz Motor Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Datuk Yeoh Choon San, Kumpulan Maju Holdings Sdn Bhd deputy executive chairman Mohd Fauzi Yon, Stanta Mauser (M) Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Tan Cheng Chai and Tamil Nesan managing director Vell Paari Samy Vellu.

Eleven people received the DSAP and 114, the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (DIMP), both of which carry the title "Datuk"; 10 received the Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP); 10, the Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP); 11, the Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) and 11, the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP).

The other Recipients of the DSAP included Dewan Rakyat Deputy Speaker Datuk Ismail Mohamed Said, Paya Besar MP Datuk Abdul Manan Ismail.

Pahang Honours 2015

As reported in a local newspaper on 25 Oct 2015, the Sultan of Pahang was giving awards and medals in conjunction to his 85th birthday. A total of 1,033 recipients were receiving the awards and medals.

As the number of recipients was rather large, the award ceremonies were staggered to a number of occasions.    The first investiture session was conducted at Istana Abu Bakar in Pekan Pahang on 25 Oct 2015.

Leading the recipients of the medals was Tengku Panglima Perang of Pahang Tengku Abdul Aziz Sultan Abu Bakar. Here are the various awards.

A. SSAP the Darjah Sri Sultan Ahmad Shah Pahang (SSAP) carrying the title of Datuk Seri.
a. Tengku Abdul Aziz was among the 28 recipients. The other recipients the Pahang royal family members Tengku Faridah Sultan Abu Bakar; Tengku Datuk Nor Aizah Sultan Abu Bakar; Tengku Datuk Zabedah Sultan Abu Bakar.

b. The others were Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Jamil Khir Baharom; Melaka Chief Minister Datuk Seri Idris Haron; Court of Appeal president Tan Sri Md Raus Sharif; Attorney-General's Chambers prosecution division head Datuk Tun Abdul Majid Hamzah; Pahang state assembly deputy speaker Datuk Mohamed Jaafar.  Malaysian Administrative Modernisation and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU) director-general Datuk Seri Zainal Rahim Seman;  Irrigation and Drainage and Department director-general Zainor Ibrahim; Natural Resources and Environment Ministry secretary-general Datuk Azizan Ahmad and Tabung Haji chief executive officer Tan Sri Ismee Ismail.

Other recipients of the SSAP were Royal Malaysian Air Force Air Support commander Lieutenant-General Datuk Sabri Adam; Penang police chief Datuk Abd Rahim Hanafi; Widad Group managing director Datuk Muhammad Ikmal Opat Abdullah and Public Service Commission member Datuk Abdul Shukor Ibrahim.

B. SIMP  the Darjah Kebesaran Mahkota Pahang Yang Amat Mulia Sri Indera Mahkota Pahang (SIMP), which carries the title 'Datuk'.

They were They are Malaysian Armed Forces Wives' Welfare Association (BAKAT) Supreme Council chairman for the air wing (Udara) Puan Sri Khairani Mohd Zain; Pahang state development officer Datuk Mohamad Roslan Harun and National Water Services Commission (SPAN) chief executive officer Mohd Ridhuan Ramli.

C. DSAP - For the Darjah Kebesaran Sultan Ahmad Shah which also carries the title 'Datuk',

The  30 recipients including the Orang Besar Berlapan Tengku Datuk Ibrahim @ Alam Shah Tengku Abdul Ghani; MFDM Holdings Sdn Bhd director Datin Seri Zurina Dadameah Zulkiflee Dadameah; Veterinary Services Department acting director-general Dr Kamarudin Md Isa.

Other recipients included International Trade and Industry Ministry Deputy Secretary General (Trade) Hiswani Harun; Pahang State Economic Planning Unit director Datuk Suhaimi Mohd Yunus; Pahang Land and Mines Department director (Development) Datuk Nazri Abu Bakar. Pahang Agriculture Development Authority general manager Datuk Wan Bakri Wan Ismail; Pahang Health Department director Dr Zainal Ariffin Omar; Pahang Irrigation and Drainage Department director Shaharuddin Ibrahim and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) vice-chancellor Prof Dr Mohd Ismail Abdul Aziz.

D. DIMP -  the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang which carries the tittle 'Datuk'

A total of 148 people were conferred including Pahang Foundation general manager Mahmud Mohd Nawawi; Malaysia's ambassador to Morocco, Jamal Hassan; the Malaysia's ambassador to the Republic of Croatia, Saiful Azam Matinus Abdullah.

Also awarded the DIMP were Bera district officer Razihan Adzharuddin; International Trade and Industry Ministry Bumiputera Entrepreneurs Division director Mohammad Radhi Abdul Razak; Tabung Haji senior general manager (Operations) Adi Azuan Abdul Ghani; Pahang Tabung Haji director Mohammad Mokhzani Mukhtar. Bukit Aman Narcotics Crime Investigation Department deputy director III SAC Mohd Nadzri Zainal Abidin; Bukit Aman Special Branch deputy director SAC Yusoff Mohd Amin; senior private secretary to Minister in the Prime Minister's Department, Col Ab Jabar Mohamad Aris and Telekom Malaysia Berhad executive vice president Rafaal Samsi.

E. OTHERS
Twenty-nine people were awarded the Darjah Setia Ahmad Shah Pahang (SAP); the Darjah Setia Mahkota Pahang (SMP)(65 recipients); the Darjah Ahli Ahmad Shah Pahang (AAP) (77 recipients); and 158 were bestowed the Ahli Mahkota Pahang (AMP) award.

A total of 159 people received the Pingat Khidmat Cemerlang (PKC); the Pingat Kelakuan Terpuji (PKT) (137 recipients); and the Pingat Jasa Kebaktian (PJK) (199 recipients).
